If I fail at my job, I expect to be fired. If I belligerently refuse to do my job, I expect to be fired. If I willfully neglect my job, I expect to be fired. If I consistently put private or personal interest before my job, I expect to be fired. If legislators refuse to put national interest above party politics, they should face general recall elections the moment they get home. They should face the consequence of what it means to be employed to do a job and fail. They should face the very real prospect that despite their prestige, power and personalities, they can be fired. ♠
